THE GOODS
"Only the good get out"
My name is Erasto Reyes, I am a Graphic Designer based in Los Angeles and currently attending Otis College of Art and Design. I am influenced by the events of every day life and that also portrays itself on what I create. I like making things that look good and that people could possibly be influenced by, or perhaps just look at it and like it because it's cool.
The entire concept behind The Goods came from a quote I saw in a movie, "only the good get out". Which I interpreted it as "all good get out". My idea was to produce "Good" works of art and if you worked hard enough, well, the outcome would be rewarding. It is an idea I still follow, and will continue to follow throughout my career. The name "The Goods" also went through a series of changes with me. At first, I introduced the idea of the name "All Good Get Out" to two of my friends, with the notion of creating a collection of artists and friends that will showcase their artwork on our website. The name was later changed to just "All Good" but we never did anything to make the idea happen.
Although I still held onto that name, I brainstormed different possibilities of what could become of that name and how I could make use of it. Then, I later reflected on an old 'dream', I guess you can call it, about creating my own t-shirt brand. That's where I will leave it for now, expect to see something with the name All Good on it soon. Make moves!
