Shake isn’t my favorite dopeboy but he posted this up today so… Speaking of dope, J. Cole is one of those dudes! To be honest I haven’t been listening to new music lately (I kinda slept on the whole Drizzy Drake thing. I gotta go back and see what all the hullabaloo was about) and haven’t yet listened to any of his [J. Cole] mixtapes (The Come up/The Warm Up), but when someone drops: “The flow cold as the shoulders of gold diggin’ hoes when a broke nigga approaches” on a Jay-Z track?!!? Not to mention he likes to rap over Kanye beats, another + ! His album (out this year) is something I would actually go wait in line for…but until then:
Jay-Z did right by signing this dude. KANYE WEST! Just wanted to add that for no reason.
Personally, I think the video is crap! I like the song though, funny how I was waiting to see if there was going to be a video.

I must digress from the usual postings on this one. If you find yourself in the Los Angeles/Hollywood area, please stop whatever you are doing, do it on the 21st, and support (or not)! Thank you. Visit answerLA.org for more info.

Possibly the greatest 3 minutes on the YouTubes…possibly. Eminem? I guess.

From the genius that is Dame Dash! A collaborative effort to fuse Blues/Rock (The Black Keys) with Hip Hop. With contributions by: Mos Def, Q-Tip, and 2/9ths of the Wu-Tang Clan. Released November of last year, but what the hey. Also worth mentioning: The Black Keys. This duo from Ohio is mind-bottling! Give ‘em a listen when you get a chance.
Download: Hope You’re Happy/Q-Tip
EDIT* Be on the look out for another album dropping sometime in summer. Cool Kids in the line-up!
“In November of last year, MADSTEEZ was commissioned to pull of an incredible feat of creating a massive 80 foot by 30 foot mural on the rooftop of the Nike-affiliated Ricardo Montblan Theatre in Hollywood. The subsequent video documents the production and execution of the mural which involves many of Nike Football’s biggest stars including Ronaldo, Zlatan, Torres, Rooney and Donovan.”
